Proposal: Funding for College Facilities

Dear Mr Smith, principal of Benq College,

My name is Perico Ofthebigbranches, and I am writing you regarding your email asking for funding proposals. I am a fifth grade student in industrial engineering, and I have been using the college facilities since I started my degree here in valencia.

First of all, I want to congratulate you. I really think we have here excellent facilities, either for leisure and sports. Our student's house has a wonderful restaurant, comfortable spaces to meet with your friends and a computer room to work and print documents whenever you need it. Regarding our sports facilities, we have a nice grass soccer field, and a two-floors gym with the newest equipment.

However, we also have some deficiencies that could be amended with the new funding. Nowadays, computers play an increasingly important part in our life and our studies. New software is continuously being developed, and it is essential for us to know it and use it. Unfortunately, our computer room although useful and accessible, is no longer enough to run this newer programs. I think that a very good use for the funding would be buying a set of new computers for the student's house, allowing us to power up our facilities and use the most recent software avaliable.

On the other hand, also our sports facilities can get better with an appropriate use of the funding. We are lacking all kind of racket sports, like tennis, padel or squash. Racket sports are nowadays very popular, and it would be a very interesting facility in our college. I would personally prefer tennis, since I've been playing it for ten years, but I understand that padel and squash could be a better investment for the college, since they need smaller courts.

Whatever you decide to do with the funding, please remember that neither leisure or sports should be neglected. Both are very important for us students, and I hope there is enough money for both elements. Thanks for hearing me, and best regards,

Perico Ofthebigbranches
